The fixed-detachable full denture implant replaces the conventional full denture supported by the gum tissue.
The implants, in this case five, are placed
in the jaw. The implants will be allowed to heal for several months.
Following healing, the top of the implants
are uncovered. Titanium posts, in this case tapered abutments, are screwed into the implants.
The final restoration is seated
onto the abutments. The restoration is attached to the restoration with small screws. The restoration is stationary, but can be removed
by your dentist if the need arises.
